Dear Clients, Friends and Businesses locally and abroad,
We welcome the move to Level 4 by the government, and we hope that the current situation will continue to improve as the President has advised that the Level 4 restrictions will be amended to address the public’s concerns. Throughout the lockdown we have been working remotely. However, with the easing of restrictions, we shall gradually reopen our physical office premises. We shall adopt a phased approach to reopening our offices. This step is taken with great caution, as our priority is the health and safety of our staff and clients.
The first phase shall commence on Monday the 18th of May 2020. The following is a brief overview of what the first phase entails:
TABLE VIEW
- Our Table View office will be open from 9:00 to 14:00 on Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
- The telephonic switchboard will be open from 9:00 to 17:00 on Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
- All staff not in the office will remain fully operational from home and contactable on email.
- All documentation received will be placed in temporary storage to avoid any transmission of Covid-19.
- All clients/visitors to our offices must wear the prescribed face mask when entering the premises.
- There will be health and safety procedures in place for all staff and clients/visitors including but not limited to temperature checks, social distancing, etc.
CAPE TOWN
- Our Cape Town office will be open from 9:00 to 15:00 on Monday to Thursday and 09h00 to 12h00 on Friday, excluding public holidays.
- There will be at least one staff member at the office during these times to allow for the delivery of documentation.
- The majority of our staff will remain fully operational from home and will only be at the office if absolutely necessary.
- All staff are still contactable via email, telephone, WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype and Microsoft Teams.
We ask that as far as possible clients and colleagues continue to utilise electronic means of communicating and transmitting documents. While we hope to increase the opening times soon, we remain mindful of the current situation and will monitor it closely. If it is appropriate to move to another phase of our reopening, we shall inform you of what that entails and when it shall occur.
In the meantime please visit our newly revamped De Abreu & Cohen Inc website or take the time to read through some of our recent articles and presentations.
